We are looking to hire Java/JavaEE Developers. These are permanent roles based in our central Brighton office. The need is on-going, but for the role listed below we are looking for an immediate start.

Required Skills / Experience

  • Substantial end-to-end commercial experience on large-scale JavaEE projects
  • Good working knowledge of UML
  • Experience of JavaEE/J2EE technologies (e.g. EJB, Servlets & JMS)
  • Experience of JavaEE/J2EE server platforms (e.g. Weblogic, WebSphere, JBoss or Tomcat)
  • Sound knowledge of commonly used Java frameworks (e.g. Spring, Struts)
  • Sound knowledge of object relational mapping frameworks (e.g. JPA, Hibernate or Ibatis)
  • Sound knowledge of SQL and various RDMBS (e.g. Oracle, MS SQL Server or DB2)
  • Sound knowledge of unit testing using JUnit
  • Good working knowledge of HTML, CSS & JavaScript
  • Good working knowledge of XML technologies (e.g. web services, XSD & XSLT)
  • Good working knowledge of build tools (e.g. Maven & Ant).

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Good working knowledge of integration testing tools (e.g. Selenium, SoapUI or JMeter)
  • Good working knowledge of object-oriented design patterns
  • Experience of RUP and Agile methodologies
  • IT related degree.
