Recession-busting partnership brings a smile to UK firms
IT solutions company, RDF Consulting, is pioneering a new software platform that will dramatically cut development time and Total Cost of Ownership, helping companies bring their services and products to market with greater speed, quality and efficiency.
Solutions can be constructed and adapted to meet new market and technology demands, at a fraction of the cost associated with commonly used development techniques.
The exciting development is the culmination of a new strategic partnership between RDF, with headquarters in Brighton and offices across the UK, and Mendix in Rotterdam.
It is the first time the Mendix Model-Driven Delivery platform has been available in the UK, and RDF is the certified reseller partner and exclusive distributor within the UK.
The RDF team of business analysts will be able to offer the Mendix software from its portfolio from Monday 1 December.
And in addition to the raft of benefits it will bring to companies battling against the credit crunch in 2009, RDF Chief Executive, David Wood, believes the Mendix platform will enable his own company to remain highly competitive.
He said: “Our job is to show business leaders how our IT skills will allow them to speed up the process of getting their new services and products to market with reduced ownership cost over conventional software applications.
“Just as importantly, the strategic partnership with Mendix will allow RDF to remain ahead of its competitors as the UK economy is buffeted by global challenges over which it has limited control,” he said.
Mendix Chief Executive Officer, Derek Roos, also welcomed the strategic partnership. He said: “We are very excited about this partnership. Mendix and RDF share a common vision on how to innovate the software delivery process in order to increase agility and software quality.
“The partnership with RDF provides Mendix with enough local resources and industry know-how to service the growing market for smarter software solutions. For the last two years, Mendix has been growing triple-digit figures annually and our partnership with RDF allows us to further accelerate our expansion in the UK market.”
The Mendix platform allows business analysts to represent business requirements using precise visual models, which become executable components, without the need to write (or test) code.
The result is a solution with a rich dynamic user interface which easily integrates with all mainstream technologies and existing package solutions, via established open standards such as web services.
RDF has a long standing experience in the use of visual models to analyse and design enterprise applications. Leveraging their modelling expertise and the Mendix platform, RDF aims to produce high-quality, business-aligned, flexible software solutions, drastically reducing cost and time to market for its customers.
