Testing saves the day
Our client needed thorough testing before being unleashed on an army of public sector purchasers. Our comprehensive test plan produced over 300 defects, with the majority critical to the project’s success. Once identified, the defects were passed to our developers, who knocked everything into shape before launch.
The challenge
The site was fully built, but the owners wanted it quality-checked before it went live. With the website aimed at public sectors purchasing departments, it was essential that the site worked smoothly, giving users a simple way to organise bulk-buying discounts.
The solution
Our systematic cross-browser testing logged over 300 defects. We classified the defects by severity to give us a priority list and then passed this over to the RDF development team for correction. The errors and defects were rapidly and efficiently fixed, giving the client a robust, professional web application.
The result
Our test program identified a large number of defects that were determined to be critical – and likely to prevent a successful product launch. We were also able to identify smaller, less critical issues which would have created a less-than-optimal user experience, and interrupted the user’s journey through the application. Our client’s website was able to go live as planned, after having all defects logged and fixed by our testers and developers.
