Our client needed a flexible service that would give the right people at the right time. In response, RDF proposed a flexible resource pool that gives the right level of staffing and the ability to cherry-pick their preferred contractors.
Our client had a raft of strategic projects to deliver and their in-house development team needed support.
They wanted to supplement their existing teams with a number of skilled analysts, developers and testers in order to keep their objectives in sight. Consequently RDF were asked to propose a solution to resolve the resourcing conundrum.
Rather than simply filling individual gaps within the project teams, RDF proposed a flexible resource pool. An innovative approach which allows our client a say in which specific people were placed within the project teams and in return, they would commit to a number of people over the course of a year. This approach allowed our client to request people that they were familiar with, but who also were familiar with their way of working and could slot straight in with little or no delay to projects.
Since its inception, the flexible resource pool agreement has been extended several times, and has now been in place for over 3 years. During that time RDF staff have been an integral part of many strategic projects, delivering real business benefit to our client.
Recently, a new approach to working has been trialled, where the entire project team, comprising both client and RDF staff, has been based at RDF’s Brighton premises.
